September already. In four months, we ought to be in Cairo getting ready for four months of bicycling the length of the African continent.
Progress to date:
- Well, we've signed up and paid for the expedition
- We got new bicycles that ought to be up to the task
- New passports
- sleeping bags and equipment
- tried out the tent
And we've made the first entry to the blog.
STAY POSTED.....

Hi Rae and Ursula:
Have a Happy Holiday in Europe.
Rae, did you know an Engineering Officer by the name of Larry Johnson in Baden ? He was in my class in RCAF Engineering, and was an Engineering Grad from out west. Gerry Gerow mentions him in his book.
Cheers, Glenn
Hi Mum and Dad
Hope you are having a great time! I have settled in here quite nicely. Going for a walk twice a day and have adjusted to be low girl on the totem pole! Tried to tell my step sister what to do but she wouldn’t have it. She had a talk with me and told me in no uncertain terms that she was top “dog”, second of course only to the Axemeister. I’m eating well and have learned not to beg in the kitchen, at least I think I’ve got Anne and
Hermann fooled, ha ha!. If this continues I’ll be eating with knife and fork soon. Taking my meds and quite like my crate. So have fun, don’t worry about me and let me know how you are doing.
Licks and sniffs
Tascha
Ps don’t bring back any pets! I like being an only child!
